Philip Gegan is a lawyer (now retired) and practised as a solicitor for many years in Cambridge, Southend on Sea, Norfolk, and Leicester. His favourite branch of the law was criminal law, acting always as a defence lawyer, mostly in the magistrates courts of Leicester.

He has had several articles on legal topics published in the local press and in the wider legal press in England and Wales. In 1990 he and his business partner, Jane Harrison, wrote “The Cash Collection Action Kit”, which was published that year by Kogan Page.

More recently he has written and published on Amazon “How To Win in Court”, now in its third edition. Fiction, however, is his favourite form of writing. Other interests include online research, archeology (strictly amateur), old films, classical music and website design.
